ByteDance Confirms $6 Billion Sale of Moonton to Savvy Games Group
Savvy Games’ CEO, Brian Ward, said the acquisition would help the company develop its mobile games division and expand its Esports vision on a wider scale.
Bytedance has confirmed to sell Moonton, popularly known for its MOBA title Mobile Legends: Bang Bang to Savvy Games Group, which is owned by the government-funded Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, for USD 6 billion.
The deal was first reported by Reuters on March 20, 2026 as ByteDance started restructuring its gaming division, Nuverse and scaled back its efforts on the video game industry to instead focus on developing AI. The selling of Moonton Technology represents a further step of this restructuring.
Savvy Games’ CEO, Brian Ward, said the acquisition would help the company develop its mobile games division and expand its Esports vision on a wider scale.
Savvy Games’s acquisition of Moonton means that Mobile Legends may reenter the North American market as originally planned. It also means that its Esports events can expand to a much wider global audience.

DICT and CICC may implement restrictions on Roblox due to child safety issues
DICT and CICC may be restricting Roblox if they do not improve their child security features.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) warn Roblox of possible restrictions should they not improve their security in protecting minors and cooperating with local law enforcement.
Roblox, a popular creative gaming platform, has over 400 million users globally, the majority being minors. It has faced scrutiny last year for not addressing child safety concerns. The situation worsened when popular pedophile hunter and YouTuber Schlep, was banned on the platform. Afterwards, YouTubers, including Schlep and Law By Mike, sued the company.
The crackdown on Roblox is part of a directive ordered by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr on protecting minors online. DICT also mentioned that no online platform is above the law when it comes to child safety.
Currently, Roblox is on notice by the DICT and CICC. It is also currently unknown whether any enforcement action, such as restrictions or suspensions, would be done directly by either or both agencies, or through a government mandate.

MSI Launches Limited-Edition Frieren GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G OC Graphics Card
The limited-edition graphics card features Frieren-themed artwork and a thermochromic backplate, and is part of a set including a themed keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, and collectible blanket.
MSI has unveiled a limited-edition RTX 5070 Ti GPU inspired by Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, as part of a special anime collaboration. The GPU combines high-end RTX 5070 Ti performance with collectible, anime-themed design elements, making it a standout item for both gamers and fans of the series.

The graphics card is equipped with 16GB of GDDR7 memory, a 256-bit memory bus, and factory overclocked boost speeds of approximately 2572 MHz, supporting smooth 4K gaming with ray tracing and DLSS 4. Cooling is provided by MSI’s TRI FROZR 4 system with STORMFORCE triple fans and a nickel-plated copper baseplate. Dual BIOS support allows users to switch between Gaming and Silent modes, and MSI recommends a 750W PSU.
Aesthetic highlights include Frieren-themed fan labels, a magic-circle backplate, and RGB lighting. These design features, combined with the thermochromic backplate that reveals artwork when the GPU heats up, make it a true collector’s piece.
The collaboration extends beyond the GPU, including co-branded peripherals such as the FORGE TKL Wireless Frieren Edition keyboard, VERSA Wireless Frieren Edition mouse, AGILITY Frieren Edition mouse pad, and a collectible Frieren-themed blanket, offering fans a complete themed setup.

While the RTX 5070 Ti hardware matches standard high-end specifications, the limited-edition design and bundled themed accessories set this collection apart. MSI has not yet announced official pricing or regional availability.
